Emil Lindgren

The story

I was born 1985 in Falun, Sweden. Grew up in Säter, about 40 km away from Falun. Beside riding my bike I have done ice hockey, motocross, skateboarding and snowboarding as well. At age 13 I won my first gold medal at the Swedish Championships and from that day cycling has been main focus. I have won medals at every championships in Sweden ever since.

At age 16 I decided moving to Skara where I was able to combine cycling and school in a better way. It was a big step moving away from family and friends, but I have learned a lot from that.

When I became junior I made a few good results with podiums at international races. I got my first pro-contract with Team Bianchi MTB at age 18. After four years in the celeste-green jersey I moved on to Full Dynamix in 2008.

2009 I signed a contract with Team Felt International, but after financial problems I had to leave the team. As from 11 of june 2009 I was racing for Jan Ten Tusschers team Debrink- Tentussher based in the Nederlands.

Represented Rabobank-Giant Offroad team 2010 to 2012 and 2013-2014 Giant Pro XC Team.

As the Giant team ended their support of a worldclass team in the end of 2014 I found myself on the hunt for a new ride.

In 2015 I represented South African based Kargo Pro MTB Team.

In 2016 I joined the then newly formed Team Serneke-Allebike and have been at part of this awesome team ever since.

Living in Alingsås where the team has it's base with the factory and as a bonus we also have a bunch of cool trails, local dirtjump place and an area rich of cyclingbuddies.

My final goal is to reach the very top. I know there´s a lot of work, but I am confident and motivated! I am surrounded with a great setup and supports from my family, team, sponsors, national team, Toppfysik and several others.
